💜 Chocolate Blueberry Lavender Dream Cake 🍫

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1/2 cup blueberry jam
  • 2 cups cream cheese frosting
  • Fresh blueberries and lavender sprigs for garnish
  • Chocolate ganache (optional, for drizzle)
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.
  • 3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • 4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the sour cream and milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • 5. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.
  • 6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • 7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • 8. Once cooled, spread a layer of cream cheese frosting over one cake layer, and spread blueberry jam on top of the frosting.
  • 9. Place the second cake layer on top and frostwith lavender-infused cream cheese frosting.
  • 10. Garnish with fresh blueberries and lavender sprigs. Drizzle with chocolate ganache if desired.
