Easy Golden Peach Turnover 🍑🥐
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine peaches, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into squares.
- Spoon the peach mixture onto the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
- Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While the turnovers are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Remove the turnovers from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling with the glaze.
