 Easy Homemade Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 2 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • Whipped cream, for garnish
Directions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well blended.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
  • Gradually add the evaporated milk, mixing until smooth.
  • Pour the sweet potato mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  • Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the pie to cool completely before serving.
  • Garnish with whipped cream before serving.
