Ingredients:
- For the Chocolate Layer:
- 1/3 portion of the basic fudge mixture (see directions)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chocolate extract
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- For the Vanilla Layer:
- 1/3 portion of the basic fudge mixture
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Strawberry Layer:
- 1/3 portion of the basic fudge mixture
- 1 1/2 teaspoons strawberry extract
- Red food coloring (enough to achieve desired color)
- Basic Fudge Mixture:
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 12 ounces white chocolate chips
Directions:
- Prepare the basic fudge mixture by gently heating the sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips in a saucepan on low heat until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Divide the basic mixture evenly into three separate bowls for the three layers.
- For the chocolate layer, mix one portion with chocolate extract and cocoa powder. Pour into a lined 8-inch square pan and let set slightly in the refrigerator.
- For the vanilla layer, stir vanilla extract into the second portion. Carefully pour over the set chocolate layer and return to the refrigerator until just set.
- For the strawberry layer, add strawberry extract and red food coloring to the last portion. Pour over the set vanilla layer and refrigerate until the fudge is firm.
- Once set, lift the fudge out using the overhanging parchment paper. Cut into squares with a sharp knife.
