Old Fashioned Egg Custard Pie, So Yummy 😋


Ingredients

    • - 3 large eggs
    • - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • - 1 unbaked pie shell (deep dish)
    • - 2-2/3 cups of milk
    • - 1/2 cup of sugar
    • - 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
    • - 1/2 teaspoon of salt


Directions

  • 1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • 2. Mix the Ingredients:
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs slightly. Add in the milk, sugar, salt, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Beat well until all ingredients are fully combined.

  • 3. Fill the Pie Shell:
  • Pour the egg mixture into the unbaked pie shell.

  • 4. Bake the Pie:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the custard is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • 5. Cool and Serve:
  • Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool. Sprinkle the top with freshly ground nutmeg before serving.
